Important (AAA/AOA Memo 09/19/2025):

  • Additional games must be based on four (4) quarters.
  • Halves with running clock are NO longer permitted and NOT considered an official contest.
  • Conferences/Schools must declare 6, 7, or 8-minute quarters before the season starts.
  • If not declared, AAHSO will default to 6-minute quarters with regular timing rules for the last 2 minutes of each half.
  • Running clock with regular timing rules for last 2 minutes of each half. No more than 2 timeouts per half.
